The roller that makes my hollow edge only has a 4-inch diameter, which is a little small for single edges...but it's the best I've got right now. And the blades end up devilishly sharp. The last few images are of a knife I recently made with this jig, what I'm calling a "camp seax." Straight edges are easier.

The reason the full flat grind will not work is because a razor is honed with the edge and the spine on the hone. It has to be hollow for this to happen. If it is a full flat grind, the entire bevel is on the stone, and you dont want to have to hone the entire bevel on both sides to 8k.

I tried to make some hollow points from already sized and lubed boolits using self made hole swaging pin. This is pretty fast and easy method comparing to drilling even with a good drill jig. Bad thing is that this way the nose is enlarged depending of the pin shape and thickness.
